We are sure that you will have questions if you have not been on a Jumbulance holiday before.  We have included below some key information which we hope you will find of use.

How much do the holidays cost?

The cost varies according to destination, duration and activities during the holiday.  We are a self-funded group and all participants are expected to contribute towards the cost of the holidays.  Financial assistance may be available in some circumstances.  All volunteer helpers pay for their holiday too.

What does the cost include?

Transport, some meals on the Jumbulance, half-board accommodation, a lunch allowance and entrance fees on most outings.

Is insurance included?

Insurance is not included for VIPs or helpers on the UK trips.

Are the outings compulsory?

No, all outings are optional.  We ensure that appropriate care is available to all our VIPs, whether they go on an outing or not.

Question

Answer

Jumbulance holidays are just like any other holiday, except they take into account the needs of all our VIPs.

All our holidays are planned and organised meticulously.

Our choice of location is always dictated by the facilities and access available and that is why we often return to favourite locations throughout the UK and Europe.

Who can go on a Jumbulance holiday?

The holidays are for sick, disabled and other disadvantaged individuals - VIPs.  Many of our VIPs hear about us through their local community; some live at home, while others come from care homes and hospices.
We also welcome spouses to come on our holidays, enabling them to have a break without the caring responsibilities.
